Film Surveys Folk Art at Upstairs Artspace

The last of three films about Southern folk art will be shown at the Upstairs Artspace on Tuesday, March 30, 7 p.m. “All Rendered Truth” documents the art, voices and home environments of self-taught artists in the rural American South. In honest and lively interviews, more than 20 renowned folk artists talk about race, religion and the world.

This is a “must” movie for people who appreciate folk art and want to know more about a disappearing culture. The artists include Jimmy Lee Sudduth, Mose Tolliver, Bernice Sims, Lonnie Holley, R. A.
